All hail the Tuxedo! With a slightly nerdy twist, D&G sent a more modern preppy version of the tuxedo down the runway at Milan fashion week with a monochromatic palette of black and white. Using subtle print detail, pinstripes, lapels and artful pocketing, this tuxedo style dressing is a more casual, modern sportswear approach to the iconic tailoring of yesteryear.
The styling was key in making this look contemporary – jazz style spats, black rimmed glasses, spotty bow ties and cravats were featured to contradict the glamour. This look is part relaxed playboy on his Italian Rivera yacht and part silicon valley with an injection of style! - Kate Vandermeer
Playboy Euro meets Ghetto Gangster circa 1985 at the Spring Summer 09 Dsquared Parade. With a soundtrack that fused Electric Boogaloo, Breakdance and other gems of the ol skool hip hop era’s, buff models gave good “tude” as they funked down the Harlem hair dressing salon catwalk.
The styling was a fusion of Bronx Bling going upper crust - think Kayne West (who fuses modern clean hip hop style with quality tailoring like no other rapper can).
