In an unnerving nod to all things ladylike yet menacing, this shoot by Sofia Sanchez and Mauro Mongiello seems inspired by the late 60’s sitcom “Bewitched” and the heroine “Samantha’s” style.
With polished, coiffed hair and make-up, model Siri Tollerod has the perfect expressionless face with Revlon red pout and an evil glint in her eye! Donning the “ladies who lunch” style for the season, Samuel Fancois has selected fitted blazers, country house checked skirts, demure lace shifts and floral tea party dresses and adorned them with pearl necklaces and “estate” jewellery.

Perhaps the most unnerving element to the shoot is the “mini-me” children and dummies that best explain the shoot title “Mommie Dearest”. Created to mimic the Mother figure in dress and expression, these tiny versions add a sombre and surreal tone to the shoot making it stand out from the cookie cutter versions so commonly showing the “ladylike” trend. - Kate Vandermeer
