The brief for this Pop magazine featured “Eleven girls, two pictures each, all in one day!” For most hairstylists, the word “impossible” would spring to mind, however for Luigi, some careful planning and 26 years of experience with time management came together. As you can see, the results are startling – dramatic, bold and infinitely glamorous. Time to grow that hair again! - Kate Vandermeer

'Eleven girls, two pictures each, in a day? That's mad! In fact it was really calm. We had two different studios, so while we were shooting one girl we were prepping another. It was like a movie set - the girls were asking, what's the angle? But I wanted to bring our their own individualism. Missy came as Missy, not as a model; Lara as Lara, and so on.

That's why I chose them. Most of these girls have worked with me on so many projects and are muses for me. We're no longer in the age typical skinny 16 year old from Kiev who weighs 20 lbs. Now it's much more about women with shape, with big lips and big breasts; beatiful silhouettes. So I thought, why not a big hair story? The hair is big and extravagant, but real; you feel like you can touch it. It's not synthetic. This is what brings teh feeling back in these pitcures. And I think we brought out the iconic nature of these girls. As for the lack of time - well, that's where my 26 years of experience really counts! It just worked. It was like one magic day with Luigi.
